Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai holds talks with Union Minister Shri JP Nadda on healthcare and fertilizer availability


Raipur, June 25, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday met Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri JP Nadda in New Delhi to discuss the expansion of healthcare services, strengthening of medical infrastructure and measures to ensure the timely availability of fertilizers and seeds for farmers ahead of the kharif season.

Chief Minister briefed Shri Nadda on the state’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery, particularly in remote, rural and tribal areas. He said hospitals, medical colleges and other healthcare institutions are being upgraded to improve access to quality treatment and advanced medical facilities within Chhattisgarh.

The meeting also focused on agriculture and the timely availability of fertilizers and seeds for the kharif season. Shri Sai said the state government has directed officials to ensure an adequate and timely supply of fertilizers and seeds so that farmers face no disruption during the kharif season. He added that the fertilizer distribution system is under continuous monitoring, with strict action being taken against black marketing, hoarding and any negligence in supply.

Chief Minister also informed the Union Minister that the state is promoting the use of nano urea and nano DAP through awareness campaigns designed to encourage wider adoption. He said the initiative aims to improve farm productivity, reduce cultivation costs and make agriculture more remunerative. Village-level campaigns are also being conducted to familiarize farmers with modern agricultural technologies and practices.

Shri Sai said the Chhattisgarh government, with the support of the Centre, is committed to accelerating development in healthcare, agriculture and public welfare while further strengthening Centre-state coordination for the state’s overall development.

Union Minister Shri JP Nadda appreciated the Chhattisgarh government’s efforts to expand healthcare services and the initiatives taken for the welfare of farmers. He assured Chief Minister of the Centre’s continued support for the state’s development in the health sector and other key areas.
