Raipur, March 27, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has welcomed the Central Government’s decision to abolish excise duty on diesel and reduce excise duty on petrol by Rs 10 per litre, bringing it down to just Rs 3 per litre. Describing the move as historic and pro-people, he said that this decision would provide direct relief to 140 crore citizens across the country.

Chief Minister Shri Sai observed that the decision would bring significant respite to every section of society, including families, farmers, labourers, and the middle class. He noted that even amid prevailing global challenges, the Centre’s resolve to shield citizens from additional financial burden reflects a deeply sensitive and people-centric approach, one that will have a tangible impact on everyday life.
