Kaushalya Sai, visited the world-renowned and historic Bhoramdeo Temple today, where he offered prayers to Lord Shiva and performed customary rituals. Circumambulating the temple, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai prayed for the peace, prosperity, progress and overall welfare of the people of Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, Shri Sai also participated in the ongoing five-day Maha Chatur Shuddhi Sahasra Kalasham Mahaanushthan, joining the sacred rituals amidst Vedic chants and offering prayers for the state&#8217;s progress, social harmony and well-being of people of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Bhoramdeo stands as a proud symbol of Chhattisgarh&#8217;s rich cultural heritage, Sanatan traditions and spiritual consciousness. He added that such grand Vedic ceremonies not only preserve and pass on India&#8217;s ancient spiritual traditions to future generations but also strengthen the values of positive energy, communal harmony and public welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shri Sai further said that the holy month of Shravan, dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, will commence on July 30. Recalling his association with the annual Kanwar Yatra, he said that for the past two years he had the privilege of welcoming Kanwar pilgrims at Bhoramdeo Dham with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma by showering flower petals upon them. Describing the Kanwar Yatra as a vibrant expression of India&#8217;s cultural traditions, he announced that he would once again personally visit Bhoramdeo Dham this year to greet the devotees with a floral welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Minister further said that the five-day Mahaanushthan, which began on July 25 under the aegis of the Shri Mahadivya Desham Foundation, is being organised with the collective prayer for the happiness, prosperity and spiritual well-being of Kabeerdham district and the entire state of Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Foundation&#8217;s head, Shri Rajeev Rakul Swami (Kerala), the rituals are based on the ancient Vedic tradition of purification and re-energisation of consecrated temples. The ceremonies are being conducted in accordance with the prescribed rituals and procedures described in the Bhagwan Parashuram Srotam and the Agama Shastras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, Pandariya MLA Smt.
