Priority on strengthening infrastructure of Anganwadi and school buildings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel on Thursday conducted a detailed review of the implementation of various public-oriented and important schemes of different departments at Mahanadi Bhavan. During the meeting, he reviewed the action taken on the recommendations of the Fifth National Chief Secretaries\u2019 Conference and directed officials to accelerate development works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data-Driven Monitoring and Good Governance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Secretary stated that the benefits of government schemes must reach the last person in a completely transparent manner. For this, he emphasized further strengthening the Data-driven Monitoring System. A presentation was also made during the meeting on the efforts being undertaken towards capacity building through good governance and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strengthening Education and Anganwadi Infrastructure<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giving priority to education and child nutrition, the Chief Secretary took important decisions. In areas facing shortages of Anganwadi buildings, instructions were issued to operate Anganwadis in additional rooms of primary schools. He directed departmental officials to coordinate with Collectors for the same. Under the Samagra Shiksha initiative, directions were also given to prepare an action plan for the construction of additional classrooms on a priority basis in schools facing shortage of rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Detailed Review of Departmental Progress<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, an in-depth review was conducted of the schemes related to the School Education, Higher Education, Skill Development, Sports and Youth Welfare, and Women and Child Development Departments. The current status of projects related to important departments such as Health, Agriculture, Information Technology, Tribal Development, Tourism, Energy, and Revenue was also reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Principal Secretary, Home Department, Smt. Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary, Law Department, Smt. Sushma Sawant; Principal Secretary, Tribal Development, Shri Sonmoni Bora; Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Smt. Shahla Nigar; along with Secretaries and senior officials of the School Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, and General Administration Departments were present in the high-level meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
